A ROH Insight event exploring Wayne McGregor’s new ballet Multiverse was live-streamed for free via the Royal Opera House YouTube channel at 7:30pm BST on 20 October 2016, and you can now watch on demand.
The evening was be presented by broadcaster Clemency Burton-Hill and saw McGregor and dramaturg Uzma Hameed offer exclusive insights into the new piece.
In addition, Music Director of The Royal Ballet Koen Kessels discussed the ballet’s score, a new commission from American composer Steve Reich.
The evening also offered an exclusive glimpse of rehearsals, featuring Principal dancers Steven McRae and Francesca Hayward as well as Soloist Paul Kay.
Regarded as one of the most important innovators in 21st century ballet, McGregor was appointed Resident Choreographer of The Royal Ballet in 2006. Ten years on, the Company celebrates this anniversary with a mixed programme of three works, including the world premiere of Multiverse as well as Chroma and Carbon Life.
